Scott "Old Navy" Hults Bio

Scott Scott Scott

My name is Scott "Old Navy" Hults. I am a retired US Navy Captain. I got the nickname, "Old Navy" from my fellow gym rats while I was preparing to enter my first bodybuilding contest in 2004, at the age of 61. My training was intense. They would say, "Hey, Old Navy, slow down man, take it easy, you aren't so young anymore." I liked the nickname, "Old Navy," so I kept it.

Since March, 2005, I have competed in 22 tested and non-tested bodybuilding competitions, winning 40 weight, height, age class and Best Poser (4) trophies, including the 2006 FAME WNSO Men's Masters 60+ World Championship in Toronto, and at 63 years of age, a Masters Pro Card at the 2006 NGA National Bodybuilding & Figure Championships in Georgia and a second Masters Pro Card at the 2006 International Drug Free Athletics (IDFA) Canadian Classic II in Toronto.

In 2007, in addition to competing in my first two Pro Shows at age 64, I have been a Guest Poser four times and have judged four big contests. In June, the FAME World Natural Sports Organization (WNSO) in Canada introduced a new Masters Pro Division and on the basis of my winning a World Championship in the WNSO last year, awarded me the first WNSO Masters Pro Card. I will compete in my first FAME Pro Show on November 3rd in Miami, Florida.

My website, www.bodybuildingsenior.com is dedicated to all "Old Navy" men and women who think age is a statistic, not a burden. Here I share my experiences, and those of others who don't use the excuse of age to keep them from getting into and maintaining the best shape of their lives. My site includes articles about diet, training, supplements, clothing, equipment, contest preparation and injury prevention. I hope you find the information interesting and helpful.

One more thing. My site is also dedicated to the Glory of God. Our bodies are a gift from Him. What we do with this gift is up to us. Welcome Aboard!
