Dr. Joe DeMarco's Bio:

Joe DeMarco, D.C.

Dr. Joe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. While at UMASS on a gymnastics scholarship, Dr. Joe was a two-year captain of the gymnastics team and became the New England All-Around gymnastics champion.

After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Dr. Joe spent the next four years earning a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

While at chiropractic college, Dr. Joe began competing in bodybuilding competitions. From 1989-1994, he won numerous bodybuilding competitions including the lightweight divisions of the Mr. Iowa/Illinois, Mr. Maine and Mr. Continental USA bodybuilding championships.

During an eleven year hiatus from bodybuilding competition, Dr. Joe became a competitive judo and Brazilian jui jitsu player. He then returned to bodybuilding competition on September 24, 2005 at which time he won the middleweight division at the Mr. Massachusetts Bodybuilding Contest. He accomplished this task at the age of 41, beating some competitors almost half his age. He was highly motivated to return to competition following his 40th birthday. He wanted to prove that through proper training and good nutrition, you can do anything at any age.

Dr. Joe, who will be 42 in September 2006, earned professional bodybuilding status by winning the open Overall title at the USBF Natural New England Championships held April 22, 2006 in Seekonk, MA. He followed that victory with an Overall win in the master's division at the OCB Natural Spirit of America Championships held April 29, 2006 in Yarmouth, MA.

In the fall of 2006, Dr. Joe returned to competition and won a second Mr. Massachusetts title (lightweight division). He then accomplished his goal of winning the lightweight division of the 2006 drug tested USBF National Championships held in Scranton, PA on October 14, 2006.

Dr. Joe has been in
chiropractic practice for almost 15 years. With his chiropractic and exercise science background, Dr. Joe specializes in helping people overcome back, neck and various other joint/muscular pain by incorporating both chiropractic therapy and extensive exercise rehabilitation programs. He also works with individuals looking to improve their health or athletic performance with nutrition and exercise programs.

Dr. Joe DeMarco will be teaming up with the maxnut boys to bring the 3rd Annual Natural Yankee Classic on July 29, 2007.
